Birth place: Aomori Prefecture, Japan
Ibuki Kido wanted to become a seiyuu during her fourth year of elementary school after watching Nana Mizuki's character Utau Hoshina in Shugo Chara! Her interest in the profession grew as she began reading manga aloud and doing solo recordings of those readings.
In 2010, Kido successfully passed the Koe Tamago! seiyuu audition held by television program Tensai TV-kun MAX. She went on to voice lead character Keiko in the short anime Anime jan! The following year, she was a finalist in the 36th HoriPro Talent Scout Caravan, later affiliating with the agency.
Kido moved to Tokyo in January 2012 to begin voice acting lessons and debuted as an unnamed character in Amagami SS+ Plus. That October, she took the lead role in Oniichan dakedo Ai Sae Areba Kankeinai yo ne!
She was paired with fellow seiyuu Erii Yamazaki in 2014 to form the anisong duo every♥ing!
